How to fix a declined pledge and/or tip

Whether you pledged as a guest, or with your Seed&Spark account, you can fix a declined pledge or tip by reentering your payment details.

We would first recommend contacting your bank to ensure your card is ready to attempt a charge again. If you'd like to use a different card than originally entered, you may do so.

If you pledged as a Guest:

  • You'll want to go to our sign up page to create an account using the email address you used to place the pledge

  • Verify your email address by clicking the link in the email sent to you

  • Now that you've converted your account from a guest account to a regular account you can continue with the steps below:

If you pledged with an existing Seed&Spark account:

  • Log in to your Seed&Spark account

  • Click the yellow banner at the top of the page to take you to the fix payment page.

    • If you cannot see the yellow banner, select Manage Account from the menu when you hover over your name in the top right corner.

    • Select Pledges on the left side of the screen

    • Locate the pledge you need to fix and click the fix button under the "Manage" column

  • Enter your card details (either the same card after clearing any issues with your bank or you may enter a different card) then click "Pledge Now"

  • Once fixed, you should see a confirmation screen.
