When a supporter pledges to your campaign, we don't charge their card until the campaign ends. A small percentage of cards usually return with errors and the funds are not transferred. This can happen for a number of reasons, such as a recent expiration date. We notify supporters whose cards have been declined and give the opportunity to update their pledge with new credit card information.
You also have the ability to directly message supporters with errored pledges and provide a direct link to fix their pledge. To do this, log in to your project and select supporters on the left hand side. In the Supporters view, choose 'declined charges' in the second drop down menu. From there, you can choose each individual supporter whose pledge failed, and send them a message that includes the link on the right hand side labelled "copy fixed payment link".
Once a pledge has been corrected by the supporter, their funds will come in to your bank account as separate transfers.
