A fiscal sponsor is a non profit organization that offers their tax exempt status to creators as a service. A project that is using a fiscal sponsor will have all their funds from their Seed&Spark campaign directly transferred to the sponsoring organization, which then issues tax exempt receipts to supporters.  Funds are  transferred to creators from the fiscal sponsor organization minus their fee for their services.

Fees vary by organization, and usually your project fits the non profit's stated mission. For more information about how Seed&Spark works with fiscal sponsorship and to see a list of organizations already qualified to accept your project, visit our dedicated page.

Our fees remain the same and there is no difference in the how a supporter views or pledges to fiscally sponsored projects. The only  difference to a supporter is that they have the option of receiving a tax deduction receipt. The Fiscal Sponsor is responsible for issuing all tax related receipts.
