Staff Picks, front page campaigns, and social media highlights are selected by the Seed&Spark team weekly. We typically look at campaigns that've reached 30% of their goal and/or apply crowdfunding best practices most creatively (and therefore serve as good examples for fellow crowdfunders).
The campaigns that appear under "Highly Anticipated" are updated twice daily and automatically by the site, based on the amount of new followers earned. The more followers you earn on your campaign in that 12 hour period, the likelier it will be that your campaign will end up there.
Most of your traffic and contributions will always be the result of promotional work by you and your team. This is true not only on our platform, but for all other crowdfunding platforms, too.
While there's often a slight bump in traffic when a film project is featured on the front page or selected for placement in a newsletter or "Staff Pick", the success of your project will be directly connected to your own outreach efforts.
