We are aware of some scammers that are contacting our creators directly off platform, via email, where Seed&Spark cannot directly intervene.
Unfortunately, these scammers are increasingly impersonating our team.
In an effort to keep our community safe, we've assembled this resource of key information, as well as a list of known scammer email addresses.
Official Seed&Spark messages are only sent from seedandspark.com email addresses*, or via the dedicated feedback section of your campaign.
*The "You have a new message from..." email alerts sent from [email protected] are not official Seed&Spark staff messages, they are automatic email notifications of any messages you've received from another user on our platform, in your Seed&Spark messages inbox.
If you ever receive a message from someone claiming to be a part of Seed&Spark staff via this [email protected] email address, please report it to our team, as it's likely a regular user impersonating us.
We will never contact you using a Gmail email address, or any other similar generic free email provider.
Our team will never refer you to paid marketing or promotional services.
The services we offer are always free, in the form of educational resources such as our Crowdfunding Playbook, and the personalized feedback you'll receive within the platform itself via the “Campaign Feedback” section of your dashboard when you submit your project.
Any crowdfunding advice you receive from our crowdfunding specialists at [email protected] during your campaign is also free, as is any technical support you might need by contacting us via the chat on the bottom right of this page, or by email.
Seed&Spark does not arrange mentorships between creators.
Scammers have been known to refer creators to another email address impersonating previously successful creators from our platform and other crowdfunding platforms, under the guise of offering mentorship.
These scammers will eventually attempt to get you to use some sort of paid service that they'll claim helped them succeed.
